Fishtail Plait and OOTD

The other day i had my first attempt at trying to do a fishtail plait. I dont think it went too badly so i thought i would share with you the result...

Yes i know im quite behind in learning how to do them but i thought i'd give it a go :)

I'm sure you all know how to do them, but for those that dont:

1) Divide your hair into two even(ish) sections (not one like a normal plait) 
2) Take a thin strand of hair from one to the sections, pull it over the top and place it underneath the opposite section
3) Do this with a strand from the other section
4) Keep repeating until you get all the way down the hair (or until you want to stop)
5) Tie it with a hair tie
6) Hairspray it in place (optional obviously)
Don't worry if it doesn't look that neat (see how mine's really not) when i was looking up how to do it, some websites said that it looks better slightly messier :)

I also wanted to share with you an OOTD, obviously you can tell from the hair that it was on a different day but still...

Both the top and the skirt are from New Look (oh what a surprise) and the belt came with the skirt. I got the top a while a go and love it, it never fails to make me smile when i wear it. The skirt i got for New Years Eve but obviously wore it in a more dressed up way then. I wore a jumper and coat over the top and ankle boots :)

Hollister body spray

Laguna Beach body mist, Crescent Bay body mist, Velvet Cassia body mist, Malibu Beach body mist, Crystal Cove body mist

I wouldn't really call it an obsession, but i absolutely LOVE the Hollister body sprays. At only £12 each, it's really easy to build up a collection. these are the ones that i have at the moment. Yes i know the middle ones from Gilly Hicks but they're the same company :)

The Laguna body mist has a sort of peachy smell which i love. It was actually the first spray i got and loved it so much i got it again. It's scent is really refreshing and definitely one of my favourites.

The Crescent spray smells of watermelon and poppy. It's a really sweet scent but not too sweet. This too is one of my favourites. I really like it's 'playful' scent as it says on the website. ahaa

 The Velvet Cassia spray smells of strawberries. I actually got given this from a friend as she didn't really like the scent or thought it didn't suit her or something but i really like it. I find it lasts a long time too which is great.

The Malibu spray smells like marzipan and also a little like malibu rum, one time when i was wearing it my friend thought i had been drinking hahaa (it was a school day!). It is a really nice, warm smell but can be a little overpowering. 

The Crystal spray smells of kiwi with a hint of strawberries. This is also one of my favourites i just love the scent of it as it puts me in a happy mood ahaa. I'm not sure if this one is still in stock as i couldn't find it on the website but you never know they may bring it back :)

Two other sprays that they have are the 'Silver Strand Beach Mist' and 'Solana Beach Mist'. I have never tried either of these but they look nice so maybe i'll give them a go sometime :)

20 Random Facts About Me

After reading Becky's tag of 20 facts about her, i decided to give it a go, so here are 20 random facts about me :)

1) My birthday is 17th June, which is the day after my mums birthday (great birthday present i know) and i was actually born on my due date (that's just how special i am ;) ahaa)

2) I have literally no clue about what i want to be or do when i am older, or even past A Levels to be honest, other than i definitely know i want to take a gap year :)

3) I am the only one in my immediate family with blonde hair, my dad did used to have blonde hair but it has now turned brown (again i'm just the special one)

4) I am 5 ft 5 (i think) and am nearly the smallest person in my family as my brother (who is only 13) is overtaking me! Not fair just yet!

5) I have four piercings (two on each ear), my second two i got done in St Ives with my friends last summer, without exactly getting permission from my parents oops ;)

6) I have seen: S Club 7 & S Club Junior, JLS and XFactor Live tour 2010 and am going to see One Direction and Maroon 5 later this year :D

7) When i was about 1 or 2 (not sure which) i was crawling up the stairs, my sister Jess was behind me, and i fell down, landing on top of Jess, resulting in breaking her arm. I was fine :p

8) I have a YouTube channel with my sister and brother where we post random videos about our lives and stuff :)

9) My favourite films include: Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Hunger Games, Wild Child, the Batman films, Chalet Girl and Journey 2 the Mysterious Island :)

10) My favourite bands/artists include: One Direction, Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, Marina and the Diamonds, Emeli Sande and Lana Del Ray

11) We used to have a cat called Tess but she had to be put down quite a few years a go now, i also had a hamster called Nibbles (he nibbled literally everything including Jess' hand once) but he died a few years a go too. 

12) I absolutely LOVE hot chocolate, especially Costa hot chocolate. We go to Costa nearly once a week :)

13) I LOVE roller coasters and have a Merlin annual pass so i can go to Thorpe Park as many times as i like. I have been on all of the rides there and my favourites include: Nemesis Inferno, Saw: The Ride, Vortex, Stealth and The Swarm.

14) My favourite TV shows include: How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Miranda, 90210, Gossip Girl (so sad its finished now though) and Teen Wolf.

15) I swim, play tennis and dance (although i don't do any sort of dance club or anything, i still love doing it whenever i can). Me and Jess are also attempting to go to the gym every week :)

16) I'm easily distracted, especially when i'm meant to be doing something important like revision.

17) I am currently doing English, History, Sociology and Psychology A Levels but am considering dropping English after As

18) I have been on many amazing holidays including: Barbados, Dubai and Australia and would absolutely LOVE to go to America :D

19) I love my friends and family and would not survive or be the person i am today without them, the ones who are constantly here for me mean so much to me, so shout out to you guys, i love you so much <3

20) I'm rubbish at saving my money and seem to spend it before i get it, but am working on it ;)

snow & inspiration

Saw this little beauty of a quote from Winston Churchill on the wall of one of my classrooms today so decided to make this 'inspirational' picture :)
(the snowy picture is very relevant for me as its (hopefully)going to snow tomorrow)

Wreck This Journal

Quite a while a go now (well a few months) i got the amazing 'wreck this journal' by Keri Smith and so I've decided to share with you a few of my favourite pages :)

The wonderful front cover which i haven't got round to decorating yet :)

Yes i know this isn't the most original idea but i like it ;) heehee

 Just to prove that the strips are actually ripped up and not just coloured in :)

Turned the holes into stars and made it into a bit of an inspirational quote 'stars can't shine without darkness'. Also i like Rihanna's song 'Diamonds' 

I chose the word 'hope' because i think everyone needs a bit of hope :) 'hope is the only thing stronger than fear' according to President Snow in The Hunger Games :p

Obviously i didnt actually climb up a skyscraper and drop my journal but i just love this song :)

Have to love a page of good thoughts, all good things that can put me in a good mood or things that i need to remember <3

So those are just a few of the many pages in my wreck this journal. I have completed quite a few more but haven't finished it yet :)

January Wish-List

Christmas may be over but that doesn't stop me from looking out for new gorgeous things and definitely doesn't stop me from wanting more ;) ahaa
So heres my January wish-list, made up from things from, yep you guessed it, New Look :)

I really like this top and think it would look great with high-waisted anything really, skirts or jeans :) I love the pattern on it.

I think this top is adorable! I really like the little white collar and think it would just smarten up any outfit. 

This top reads 'Dont believe everything you think' this is really something i should follow seeing as i do seem to have quite a few negative thoughts about myself; however, following my new years resolutions, i need to stay positive. Thats why i love this top :)

I really love leopard print and just love love love this jacket, i'm not sure i would have anything (or occasion) to wear it with but i think its gorgeous :)

Since losing weight (yay me) i really need some new jeans, and i really like the colour of these 

One can never have too many shoes ;) i really admire these gorgeous heels, as i have an odd shoe size (6 and 1/2, really why the extra half?!) my heels either have to have straps or be shoe boots otherwise my feet slip out (embarrassing!) i also dont have any  nude heels :p

Lunch out with Granny

Today my mum, my brother and I went out for lunch with my Granny so i thought I'd share some pictures of our little trip.
